Dr Mrs Bernice Welbeck

 Ag. Executive Secretary, National Labour Commission, Ghana

Dr (Mrs) Bernice Welbeck was the Head of Administration and Human Resources of the Commission from 2005 – 2013, before assuming the position of Ag. Executive Secretary in May 2013.

Dr. Welbeck is a Public Administrator and an Industrial Relations Practitioner and Consultant.  She is an International Consultant in Labour-Management Relations with focus on Negotiations and Conflict Resolution; she is also an Adjunct Lecturer in Industrial Relations.

As an Industrial Relations Expert, she has undergone several training on labour management relations at the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITC/ILO), Turin, Italy, Geneva, Switzerland, Hachiochi International Training Centre of Japan, Denmark, United States of America, among others.

Dr. Welbeck has presented various Papers on Labour-Management Relations at forums both national and international.

Among her international assignments,Dr. Welbeck has consulted as a Training Facilitator on Conflict Management Course for the Social Dialogue Desk of the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITC/ILO), Turin, Italy.

Dapo Omolade

Dapo is a qualified HSE Practitioner with about seventeen active and consistent years of experience in HSE administration, operations, training and consulting for clients in the Oil and Gas (upstream and downstream), construction, power and energy, manufacturing, ports, banking and allied industries.

During this period, he has worked on offshore and onshore projects commissioned by Chevron, Addax, Shell, Texaco, etc as HSE representative and trainer. Dapo has also trained personnel from SPDC, Chevron, NNPC, NB Plc (Breweries), NEPA (now PHCN), NPA (shipping and marine), NIPCO (downstream oil marketing), First Bank, and others. As part of his commitment to the HSE profession and continuous professional development, in addition to a MSc degree in safety and environmental management,

Dapo has a professional certificate course in Industrial Hygiene from Columbia Southern University USA. He is an alumnus of Harvard School of Public Health (USA) and London School of Business Finance (MBA), UK and a certified project manager from PMI (USA)as well as a Trainer, Assessor & Verifier of Assessments.

Dapo is presently the Managing Consultant/CEO and Lead Faculty Instructor of Hybrid Ghana Limited, training and consulting firm offering services in HSE and project management to varying sectors of the economy. Hybrid consulting Limited is also an approved and accredited training centre for NEBOSH, IOSH, BSC, CIEH (all UK) & PMI (USA). The company operates across Ghana, Nigeria and UK.

He is also involved in capacity and human capital and capacity building in the areas of HSE, organizing and speaking at seminars, workshops and other programs in order to create more awareness in the HSE fields and mentor the younger ones in the field. Kweku Yankson

Kweku Yankson is a senior human capital management executive with 8+ years’ international management experience. He has strong consulting and operational capabilities, and sound business acumen. In his most recent role as the Africa regional head of Talent & Development with Millicom International Cellular (Tigo), Kweku was responsible for the company’s capability development agenda in 6 operations across Africa (Ghana, Tanzania, Rwanda, DR Congo, Chad, Senegal).

Prior to taking up his Africa regional role, Kweku was the Head of HR for Tigo Ghana, during which time he had full executive responsibility for the company’s HR organization in Ghana. He joined Tigo in 2010 as Deputy Head of HR for Ghana. Before venturing into HR, Kweku worked in a variety of increasingly responsible professional services consulting roles with the Oracle Corporation in the USA. In these roles, he led multiple consulting teams in the USA and Europe to design and develop highly complex, customized software solutions for large, global biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.

 Marina Milantoni

Marina Milantoni is an HR Director, with a large experience in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, Peoples Strategies; Values based Organizational Culture and Climate, Coaching Team and Management, HR Transformation, Change Management, Labor Relationships and Business.

She started her career in South America, Argentine, and then moved to Europe (France) in 1994. Marina’s experience spans +20 years of career a range business, sales and HR Leadership position. Since then, she has helping HR organizations enable business growth, drive expansion, and effectively manage their talents. 

She joined Huawei Technologies in June 2014, as Deputy  Regional HRD West Africa. Previously,  she has  been working  for  multinational companies in Europe ( Spain)  as  GE (1998), Rolls-Royce Int. Ltd, 2001 ( Aerospace),  Foundation Ciudad de la Energia (Ciuden) 2010, ( High Tech Foundation belonging to the  Spanish Government/ UE) as  HRD and OD Director, and in Central  Africa in  Millicom , Tigo Tchad 2012 ( Telecommunication) as HRD and Administration Director ( Directrice Moyens Generaux) .

In addition, she was former representative for British Chamber of Commerce in Madrid, Spain between 2003-2006

She hold a BSC in Psychology (UAM) and PhD (DEA level)( UNED ,Spain) in Organizational Psychology, where she has made research about “The impact of the leadership in the Organization and it relationship with cohesion, stress and conflict” between others.   She has been practicing as Clinical Psychologist and Organizational Psychologist. She is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Italian. She is Italian with Argentine origin.

Irene Asare

Irene is a transformational leader with a passion for organizational change and effectiveness. She is a firm believer in excellence and professionalism in partnership with the business in expert areas such as Business Transformation, Team and Leadership Development, Employee Relations, employee Engagement, Reward and compensation, Business Processing & Re-engineering and Performance Management.

She has worked for many leading organizations in a variety of leadership roles in Human Resources organizations including Veolia ES Cleanaway Company, UNIQLO UK and Thermo Fisher Scientific, UK, before relocating to Ghana in 2010 to head the HRBP function at Vodafone, Ghana. Irene Asare was the Group Executive for Organizational Effectiveness and Organizational Change for Vodacom Group (part of Vodafone Group), overseeing South Africa, Tanzania, Mozambique, Lesotho and DRC Congo. Her experience spans industries such as Oil and Gas, Telecommunications, Banking, Retail, Real Estates, Science, Manufacturing and Research.

Before she joined Tullow she was the Regional HR Head for West Africa for Standard Bank based in South Africa, responsible for Ghana, Nigeria, Angola and DR Congo. William Easmon

With close to 15 years progressive hands-on HR experience spanning the private, public, non-profit and financial sectors, William has an in-depth understanding of generational diversity and its direct effect on workforce engagement/productivity and by extension business strategy execution. His area of specialization is organizational design with focus on team interconnectedness and networking with the aim of ensuring business sustainability.

He brings his experience and understanding of generational issues into developing time-tested HR strategies in the organizations he has worked in. Effie Cooke

With over 16 years experience as a Human Resource Management practitioner, Effie has a comprehensive and strategic understanding of Human Resource Management, Learning and Leadership Development and Organizational Development. Effie has over a decade's experience with Opportunity International where she rose to become the Regional HR Director.Before Joining Opportunity International, Effie worked as Group HR Manager for a Retail brand in the UK.

Ola Azeez

Ola Azeez started his working career with the Nigerian Bottling Company PLC (Coca cola) immediately after graduation in 1991 and served the Company meritoriously in various capacities that prepared him for subsequent value-creating career path. He was the pioneer Personnel Manager for Ikeja B and Mushin and subsequently, Enugu and Asejire Plants, a Trainer, Acting Plant Sales Manager, Business Performance Management System Specialist and Corporate Training Manager/Head of Learning Centre, a senior management position that gave the opportunity to drive human resource development and organisational capability processes of the world brand conglomerate in Nigeria.

He joined CITA Petroleum Group Executive Team – (an IATA Strategic Partner and multiple awards winning enterprise) as General Manager, Human Capital with close to 25 years of value adding business partnering experience in HRM, General Administration, Manufacturing, Distilleries, Marketing and Service industries. In addition to Human Capital portfolio, he oversees a subsidiary in addition to an oversight responsibility for the Commercial Division and Logistics of the Group.

Dr Tshukudu is the author of many publications including books and journals on Public Administration Training in Africa, Public Budgeting in African Nations and Public Leadership for Development in Africa, Trade Unionism in Botswana.

Some of the articles He published in the various journals include Deep Rooted Conflict, Strategies for Evaluation of Training Development Initiatives in a Public Service Setting, Decentralisation as Strategy for Performance Improvement in the Botswana Public Service: The Interface of the Botswana Labour Relations.

He is a regular reviewer for several journals. He has supervised 54 treatises, 10 research essays, 9dissertations and 5theses and eternalised 36 treatises, 18 dissertations and 7 theses for Milpark Business School, Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, University of Johannesburg, Rhodes University, University of North West and Zambia Open University respectively.

Tina joined Airtel in 2006 as Group HR Director, Celtel, she then became the Zain Academy Director and later as the head for Talent Development and Engagement, Airtel Tina holds a BSC (Honours) in Psychology from the University of Zimbabwe and an MSc in Organisation Psychology from the University of Bristol, (UK).

Emma Wenani

The unreserved passion for people and their development has shot Emma Wenani through the ranks to become the Director of Human Resources at Global Media Alliance Group, Ghana.

She believesthat for people to perform better and positively impact their lives, families and societies, they need to be developed both professionally and academically. Gabriella is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) UK. She holds an MA in Human Resource Management (Leeds University, Leeds, UK) and a BA in Psychology and Information Studies (Univ. of Ghana).

She has over 8 years of generalist Human Resources experience, providing a full spectrum of HR services which include Strategic HR Business Planning, Talent Management, Industrial Relations, Negotiations & Conflict Management and Compensation & Benefits.

She has conducted extensive studies on Performance Management, surveys on organizational behavior and has delivered a number of trainings and seminars geared towards workplace cooperation, performance, efficiency and youth employability.

She has held various HR related, Corporate, and Communications positions mostly senior management in diverse industries which include Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Telecommunications, Exclusive Retail and International Conservation. This presents her with a rich and diverse industry knowledge and background which she effectively utilizes to give guidance to Empower employees and clients in the areas of manpower efficiency, employee motivation and Human Resource Strategy and Consulting.
