Benoit Hardy-Vallée consults with HR leaders to bring innovative practices, evidence-based techniques and workforce analytics in the workplace. As the Regional Executive for IBM Talent Management Solutions for Middle East & Africa, he leads a team that develops strategies for talent management, collaboration, leadership development and employee engagement. A subject matter expert in organizational surveys, he partnered with over 100 organizations in the last 6 years to roll-out complex programs.

Benoit has applied his expertise in organizations of all types, from Global 2000 to industrial consortia to public organizations. Through white papers and speaking engagements, Benoit has contributed to thought leadership and best practices sharing with IBM clients, and regularly share his perspective on workforce science, engagement and collaboration with various business audiences.

Benoit received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in philosophy from the University of Quebec in Montreal. He received his doctorate in philosophy from the École des HautesÉtudesen Sciences Sociales in Paris, France. His research focused on the psychological and neuronal mechanisms that underlie economic decision-making.

 


Anita Wiafe

She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, The British Psychological Society and an approved level A and B tester in psychometric testing as well as a Trustee for two charities.

Anita's professional background began in the NHS starting as a HR officer in 1996, progressing to several senior roles within not-for-profit organisations and small and medium sized enterprises (SME) for over 10 years. Some of her employed senior roles include; the RNID, Moorfields NHS Eye Hospital, the Citizenship Foundation and VRL-Financial News Publishing Limited.

Her consultancy has provided effective HR expertise, advice and services to many clients across sectors, including the Industry and Parliament Trust, St. Mungos, CIBT, Springboard for Children, Student Partnership Worldwide, Initiative of Change, GVEP International and IFRTD.

As a generalist HR consultant, Anita has experience and extensive knowledge in HR; some of her areas of expertise include; strategic workforce planning, employee engagement, performance management, organizational development, legal compliance, assessment centres, learning and development, recruitment and talent management.


Michael Quarshie

MD, Persol Systems

Michael holds a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and an MBA from INSEAD, France.

He is the Managing Director and a co-founder of Persol and spearheads business development activities, coordinating alliances with strategic business partners and leads our international expansion efforts.

Michael is focused on building a world-class development and consulting practice at Persol and is keenly involved in best practice development and adoption. He often partakes in customer engagements during end-user needs assessment, analysis and project management to provide critical input and direction in our software development efforts. Mr Kwamina Amoasi- Andoh

National Programme Manager,ILO SCORE Project in Ghana.

Mr Amoasi-Andoh is managing the Project in consultation with the ILO and the Swiss Government, the Donor for the programme. ILO SCORE is a programme of the International Labour Organization that supports small and medium sized enterprise to grow and create more and better jobs by improving their competitiveness through better quality, productivity and workplace practices.

Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Amoasi-Andoh led five top level consultants and other external faculty experts in delivering consultancy services in management to Government, ILO, the Private Sector and the Development Partners. As CEO of JENAD Consult, Mr Amoasi succeeded in securing major consultancy assignments from reputable institutions such as DANIDA, ILO, the private sector and the Government of Ghana and led the firm to develop the Business Sector Advocacy Programme document, with a budget of US$20Million, for DANIDA and other Development Partners (DPs).

He developed Local Economic Development Model documents for Sierra Leone with the ILO and has reviewed extensively all the ILO Programmes, projects and activities for the Abuja Area Office for the 2008-2009 biennium. He led the firm to design the FRUIT GHANA Project funded by Coca Cola International with USAID being implemented by ACDI/VOCA.

Mr Amoasi-Andoh has held many top positions in several organizations including being the Chief Executive Officer of Jenad Consult and Ghana Healthcare Company; National Programme Co-ordinator of the ILO Ghana Decent Work Programme; and Executive Director of Ghana Employers Associaion. He led the establishment of the Health Insurance system in Ghana as the first CEO which has become the fastest growing health insurance scheme in the world, now covering about 65% of the 22million population of the country.

He holds an MBA (Finance Major) and BA (Econs with Statistics) from the University of Ghana.


Dapo Omolade

Dapo is a qualified HSE Practitioner with about seventeen active and consistent years of experience in HSE administration, operations, training and consulting for clients in the Oil and Gas (upstream and downstream), construction, power and energy, manufacturing, ports, banking and allied industries.

During this period, he has worked on offshore and onshore projects commissioned by Chevron, Addax, Shell, Texaco, etc as HSE representative and trainer. Dapo has also trained personnel from SPDC, Chevron, NNPC, NB Plc (Breweries), NEPA (now PHCN), NPA (shipping and marine), NIPCO (downstream oil marketing), First Bank, and others. As part of his commitment to the HSE profession and continuous professional development, in addition to a MSc degree in safety and environmental management,

Dapo has a professional certificate course in Industrial Hygiene from Columbia Southern University USA. He is an alumnus of Harvard School of Public Health (USA) and London School of Business Finance (MBA), UK and a certified project manager from PMI (USA)as well as a Trainer, Assessor & Verifier of Assessments.

Dapo is presently the Managing Consultant/CEO and Lead Faculty Instructor of Hybrid Ghana Limited, training and consulting firm offering services in HSE and project management to varying sectors of the economy. Hybrid consulting Limited is also an approved and accredited training centre for NEBOSH, IOSH, BSC, CIEH (all UK) & PMI (USA). The company operates across Ghana, Nigeria and UK.

He is also involved in capacity and human capital and capacity building in the areas of HSE, organizing and speaking at seminars, workshops and other programs in order to create more awareness in the HSE fields and mentor the younger ones in the field. Dapo is married and lives with his family in Lagos, Nigeria.

Dr Mrs Bernice Welbeck

 Director, Administration and HR, National Labour Commission, Ghana

Dr (Mrs) Bernice Welbeck was the Head of Administration and Human Resources of the Commission from 2005 – 2013, before assuming the position of Ag. Executive Secretary in May 2013.

Dr. Welbeck is a Public Administrator and an Industrial Relations Practitioner and Consultant.  She is an International Consultant in Labour-Management Relations with focus on Negotiations and Conflict Resolution; she is also an Adjunct Lecturer in Industrial Relations.

As an Industrial Relations Expert, she has undergone several training on labour management relations at the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITC/ILO), Turin, Italy, Geneva, Switzerland, Hachiochi International Training Centre of Japan, Denmark, United States of America, among others.

Dr. Welbeck has presented various Papers on Labour-Management Relations at forums both national and international.

Among her international assignments,Dr. Welbeck has consulted as a Training Facilitator on Conflict Management Course for the Social Dialogue Desk of the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITC/ILO), Turin, Italy.

Rita Kusi

In 2011, she received a Professional HR course completion certificate from the HR Certification Institute at Pace University and is an active member of The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Rita has over ten years experience in the field of Marketing and Human Resources.

Her recent position in HR was director of the largest private owned condominiums in the U.S. Parkchester South Condominium, Inc. is a 121-acre property with over 45,000 residents, owners, and commercial tenants combined. At most, managing a staff of 350, 8 unions and trades as well as non-union employees. Rita is also a one-third partner of ARK Consortium, a group of firms with a common interest in Human Resource Management, Recruitment, and Training in Ghana with a purpose of achieving a mission through combined networks, resources, experience, and expertise.



Oluwatayo Opatayo

Oluwatayo Opatayo is a Human Resources Leader with achievements across the entire Human Resources (HR) value-chain. He is presently the Group Head Human Resources for one Nigeria’s Top-5 Downstream Oil & Gas company.

His work experience span Management Consulting, Banking, Telecoms, Marine Services, Turnkey Project Management and Oil & Gas. His HR career began years ago as a consultant with Workforce Group. He later moved on to UBA Plc, MTN Nigeria, Ocean Marine and JNC International. As a consultant, executed several projects for public and private sector clients in areas of HR Strategy, Talent Management, Learning, Performance Management and Organizational Development.

Tayo is a Public Speaker, Career Coach and Trainer - he regularly honours speaking engagements in conferences and workshops across the continent. Emma Wenani

Director, Advisory and Consulting,Global Media Alliance.

Ms. Wenani has been with the organization for 7 years since she joined in 2010. She leads her team in providing strategic and objective advisory services to the clients they work with. Before her recent appointment, Emma held the position of Director of Human Resource at GMA where together with her team, they managed the HR processes for over 300 staff members across 9 business entities. Prior to her joining GMA, she was working at Nairobi Stock Exchange as a Public Relations Officer. Apart from her PR role, she was also the Assistant Editor to the NSE quarterly magazine, The Exchange.

Emma also has experience in the Media Industry in Kenya where she worked as a Marketing Executive for Nation Media Group, one of the country’s top media houses. Tina Muparadzi

Tina has been an HR professional for the last 25 years.  During this time she has worked and lived in seven countries practicing HR at the most senior levels of the organizations.  She believes that her best experiences where when she was in a talent development role and it is this experience that she is putting to use as she helps Safaricom set up their best-in-class Safaricom University.  Her passion is leadership development in Africa as believes that by having a strong pipeline of leaders, Africa will prosper.

Tina joined Airtel in 2006 as Group HR Director, Celtel, she then became the Zain Academy Director and later as the head for Talent Development and Engagement, Airtel Tina holds a BSC (Honours) in Psychology from the University of Zimbabwe and an MSc in Organisation Psychology from the University of Bristol, (UK).

Additionally, she holds an MSc in Coaching and Consulting for Change from HEC School of Management, Paris (France) Prior to joining Airtel, she was the HR Consultant for Ernst and Young (South Africa), HR Manager for British American Tobacco (Zimbabwe, South Africa), HR Consultant for Coopers and Lybrand Associates (Zimbabwe) and Graduate Trainee for Union Carbide.
